Vintage Indigo Kasuri Cotton

A vintage indigo 'kasuri' weave cotton piece from the early to mid 20th century, originally part of a haori. Kasuri weave is a traditional weaving method where the threads are dyed before weaving to create intricate patterns, similar to 'ikat'.

Soft to the touch, this piece shows some partial colour fading and is ideal for making cushion covers, bags, incorporating into garments, or other craft projects such as sashiko stitching.
